Equestrian Programme
The Academy offers schooling to Equestrians in a small and caring environment, while allowing them the opportunity to pursue their Show Jumping, Dressage or Eventing passions.
The Equestrian Academy is open to day scholars or boarders, with stabling available. Although the focus of this school is to facilitate both academic and riding endeavours, recreational riders who would like to attend this picturesque school are encouraged and welcome to enrol in both the schooling and boarding.
AIMING FOR EXCELLENCE
The excellent facilities of the Academy include full sized Indoor, Dressage and Jumping sand Arenas, 37 stables, a 400m circular track, and beautiful spacious paddocks. Onsite riding facilities allow for early morning and afternoon riding opportunities.
The school day:
Grade 10 & 11: 10h30 to 14h40
Grade 12: 10h30 to 15h40
Dedicated Riders benefit from professional instruction and training that prepares them for all levels of competition. Students may stable their own horses at the Academy, or appropriate leasing is available. All riders have access to well qualified riding instructors in the Summerveld area to train them in the fully equipped facilities.
Beginners and Intermediate Riders have access to on-site riding school. In the classroom, they enjoy small classes that focus on building confidence and skills. Flexible schedules allow recreational riders the opportunity to participate in other programs and extramural activities.
On successful completion of your schooling, you will be awarded a National Senior Certificate, and Certification for Modules 1 & 2 of the internationally recognised SANIP course hosted by the Equestrian Qualifications Authority of Southern Africa (EQASA)
